Seamus Wettergreen · Brand Strategist and Design Director

I work directly with businesses across brand strategy, identity, communication, websites and practical digital systems, carrying the thinking through to the work people actually use.

The working relationship

The person discussing the problem is responsible for the work.

There are no account-management layers and no handover between strategy and execution. I stay involved across the thinking, design and implementation so the work remains connected.

Over more than two decades I have worked across corporate, government and startup environments. That range has shaped a practical approach: understand the business first, then build the brand, communication or digital system around what it actually needs to do.

SABD can support one defined project, a wider brand improvement or ongoing creative direction. I do not simply hand over files and disappear. Where it is useful, I stay involved to review, refine and keep the work consistent as the business evolves.

Specialist support can be brought in when a project genuinely needs it, while I remain the senior point of contact throughout.

Working principles

Simple rules that keep the work useful.

Good work should make the business clearer, not add another layer of complexity.

01

Think clearly

Understand the business, audience and decision before designing the output.

02

Design deliberately

Every visual decision should support meaning, recognition or use.

03

Build for use

Create systems and material that people can maintain after the project.

04

Stay involved

Keep strategy and execution connected from the start through implementation.

Process

A clear sequence, adjusted to the project.

The exact deliverables change. The logic does not.

01

Understand

Business context, audience, objectives and current challenges.

02

Clarify

Priorities, positioning, message, scope and creative direction.

03

Create

Identity, communication, digital experience or the system the project requires.

04

Guide

Implementation, review, refinement and ongoing support where needed.
